Empowering Victims to Survive and Thrive
R.E.A.C.H. is excited to announce our new "Capital Campaign" to build a new shelter!
"Building a shelter to build a better community..."

R.E.A.C.H. of Macon County provides the only shelter for domestic and sexual violence victims and their children for both Macon and Jackson counties and is the only shelter within a 45 minute radius. REACH's existing shelter can no longer provide enough space to accommodate our communities needs as we have been at capacity for more than seventeen months, turning away countless families in need.
Therefore, we invite you to check out the information on this page, and if you'd like to show your support, feel free to consider a donation today!
Stay tuned to this page for more updates and announcements as we move forward in making this dream come true...

Thank you to MHK Architecture for their support, vision, and selflessness in providing their services to REACH of Macon County.
After a successful Capital Campaign, REACH of Macon County (also serving Jackson County) was able to secure the funds to build a new state-of-the-art shelter! The new VanDrake Shelter opened its doors in the spring of 2016.
R.E.A.C.H. awarded $700,000 from the NC Housing Finance Agency to help make dream of building a new shelter a reality!

A BIG THANK YOU to the NC Housing Finance Agency for helping make this project possible!
