The Safe at Home Rapid Re-housing Program at Reach of Macon County offers comprehensive housing assistance for individuals and families affected by trauma from domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other dangerous, life-threatening, or violent situations. Our trained advocates provide confidential support, crisis intervention, and connections to resources that help survivors find stability and rebuild their lives. We work to ensure each person’s safety, dignity, and long-term independence.

- Graham County
- Swain County
- Cherokee County
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Experiencing trauma or a lack of safety related to, or fleeing, or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, or other dangerous traumatic, or life-threatening conditions related to the violence against the individual or a family member in the individuals' or family's current housing situation including where the health and safety of children are jeopardized.
- Have no other SAFE residence AND
- Lacks the resources to obtain other safe permanent housing.
BOTH shelter clients and community clients are eligible for the Safe at Home program.
